The Chicago-based biopharmaceutical company is developing THIO as a targeted immunotherapy for cancer patients who have failed multiple standard treatment regimens.<\/p>\n<p>Key highlights from the Phase II THIO-101 trial include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>16 patients surpassed 12-month survival follow-up<\/li>\n<li>Median survival follow-up in third-line treatment was 10.6 months<\/li>\n<li>THIO&#8217;s survival benefit in third-line treatment surpasses the comparable standard-of-care overall survival of 5.8 months<\/li>\n<li>Treatment with THIO followed by Regeneron&#8217;s Libtayo\u00ae (cemiplimab) has been generally well-tolerated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dr. Vlad Vitoc, CEO of MAIA Biotechnology, expressed optimism about the results, stating, &#8220;THIO is showing a survival benefit for patients with advanced NSCLC. As our follow-up continues, we have noted that three of the earliest patients enrolled are approaching 17-month survival.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The company expects to release full efficacy results of the THIO-101 trial later this year.
