Working in partnership with IMA, we will bring additional supplies and resources to the state\u2019s frontline healthcare workers and first responders so they can continue to test and treat patients safely and efficiently.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Thanks to the leadership of Horizon Therapeutics CEO Tim Walbert and the <\/span><span class=\"s2\">generous seed donations from <a href=\"https:\/\/ibio.org\/horizon-therapeutics-plc-donates-1-5-million-to-covid-19-response-efforts-in-illinois-and-other-impacted-u-s-and-global-communities\/\">Horizon Therapeutics<\/a><\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/ibio.org\/horizon-therapeutics-plc-donates-1-5-million-to-covid-19-response-efforts-in-illinois-and-other-impacted-u-s-and-global-communities\/\"><span class=\"s2\">to iBIO\u2019s COVID-19 Response Fund<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">, our BIO Business Solutions lab supply partner has already been able to source an order of 62,500 personal protective equipment (PPE) items valued at more than $400,000.<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The order includes PPE items listed by the state as most critically in need to protect Illinois\u2019 frontline healthcare workers. These items\u00a0will be sent to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.illinois.gov\/iema\/Pages\/default.aspx\"><span class=\"s3\">Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)<\/span><\/a>, which will distribute products to the Illinois healthcare ecosystem to ensure that the supply is equitable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">With this fund and our community\u2019s leadership, we are making an immediate impact.
