{"id":5988,"date":"2020-08-13T13:41:08","date_gmt":"2020-08-13T18:41:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibio.org\/?p=5988"},"modified":"2020-08-13T13:42:39","modified_gmt":"2020-08-13T18:42:39","slug":"ibio-named-in-100-associations-that-will-save-the-world-by-asae","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ibio.org\/ibio-named-in-100-associations-that-will-save-the-world-by-asae\/","title":{"rendered":"iBIO Named  in &#8216;100 Associations That Will Save the World&#8217; by ASAE"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The Illinois Biotechnology Innovation Organization, iBIO, is humbled to be named as\u00a0one of &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/associationsnow.com\/magazine\/100-associations\/?show=top-100\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">100 Associations That Will Save the World<\/a>&#8221; by ASAE, a national membership organization of more than 44,000 association executives and industry partners representing 7,400 organizations.<\/p>\n<p>iBIO was recognized in addition\u00a0to our partner, the Illinois Manufacturers&#8217; Association,\u00a0for leading the community response fund to ramp up production of life-saving medicine and therapies, personal protective devices, and medical equipment to support front-line healthcare workers combating COVID-19 in local communities.<\/p>\n<p>We are thrilled for this recognition and proud of the work that we have done with IMA and our other partners to support our state and healthcare\u00a0ecosystem\u00a0to respond to the pandemic. This recognition reflects on\u00a0the strength and dedication\u00a0of our life sciences member companies and other Illinois&#8217; manufacturers and companies who stepped up to support our frontline healthcare workers and the healthcare ecosystem when it was needed the most.<\/p>\n<p>Last week we announced the launch of <a href=\"https:\/\/ibio.org\/transform-illinois\/\">Transform Illinois<\/a>\u00a0as an\u00a0evolution of our COVID-19 PPE Fund.\u00a0Transform Illinois will engage with many of the state\u2019s stakeholders, including industry leaders, academic research centers, elected officials, public policy experts, investors and charitable foundations to enhance pandemic preparedness and recovery, erase health equity barriers and continue to nurture the state\u2019s life sciences community.<\/p>\n<p><b>About the iBIO COVID-19 PPE Response Fund<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Over the past four months, iBIO has leveraged its COVID-19 PPE Response Fund to help meet the needs of doctors, nurses and first responders throughout the state.
