{"id":9051,"date":"2023-06-28T07:41:01","date_gmt":"2023-06-28T12:41:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ibio.org\/?p=9051"},"modified":"2023-06-28T07:41:01","modified_gmt":"2023-06-28T12:41:01","slug":"one-summer-chicago-opportunity-to-engage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ibio.org\/one-summer-chicago-opportunity-to-engage\/","title":{"rendered":"One Summer Chicago &#8211; Opportunity to Engage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On Monday,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KMNt5G29cHs\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v%3DKMNt5G29cHs&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1688042329096000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0yc_oL6DCnjuJmbyu-dBNE\">Mayor Johnson kicked off One Summer Chicago<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 a dedicated program helping Chicago youth ages 16-24 get career exposure during the summer \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>with the goal of providing a placement for every youth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>One Summer Chicago seeks to connect Chicago youth to career opportunities and possibilities by pairing them with partnering businesses with the following expectation:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Sign up for recruiting through One Summer Chicago for opportunities this summer is July 11<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a 4-week career internship experience<\/li>\n<li>The cost per youth is $15.80<\/li>\n<li>Minimum expectation is 15 hours\/week<\/li>\n<li><strong>Estimate cost of 1 youth for the 4 weeks to your company is $1,000<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>For more details on program requirements, please see below. The City will also be hosting two virtual information sessions for companies interested in learning more<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Session 1: Wednesday, June 28 from 2:00-3:00pm CT.
