The milestone coincides with the addition of four exciting new startup companies to the incubator&#8217;s roster.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The growth of Helix 51 over the past five years has fostered a vibrant hub for innovative healthcare solutions on our campus,&#8221; said Dr. Ronald Kaplan, RFU&#8217;s executive vice president for research. &#8220;These novel therapeutic and diagnostic approaches have the potential to benefit patients worldwide. Additionally, Helix 51 serves as a valuable springboard,launching companies into our Innovation and Research Park.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Helix 51 provides a comprehensive environment for early-stage startups with 6,500 square feet of wet and dry labs, a state-of-the-art clean room, office space, and shared conference facilities. The incubator boasts essential equipment like biological safety cabinets, chemical fume hoods, and refrigeration units.<\/p>\n<p>But the support goes beyond physical resources. Companies also gain access to a one-of-a-kind Entrepreneurs-in-Residence program and internship opportunities with students from RFU&#8217;s College of Pharmacy, Northwestern&#8217;s Masters of Biotechnology program, and Kent School of Law&#8217;s JD program \u2013 all at no additional cost.<\/p>\n<p>The new wave of companies joining Helix 51 reflects the incubator&#8217;s commitment to fostering diverse and impactful ventures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><u><a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=4167956-1&amp;h=391191073&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mvtherapeutics.com%2F&amp;a=MountView+Therapeutics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-ylk=\"slk:MountView Therapeutics;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-rapid_p=\"7\" data-v9y=\"1\">MountView Therapeutics<\/a><\/u><\/b>, a spinout from <span class=\"xn-org\">Northwestern University<\/span> and Lurie Children&#8217;s Hospital based on the technology of <u><a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=4167956-1&amp;h=3197628015&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.medicine.northwestern.edu%2Ffaculty%2Fprofile.html%3Fxid%3D38978&amp;a=Dr.+YouYang+Zhao\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-ylk=\"slk:Dr. YouYang Zhao;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-rapid_p=\"8\" data-v9y=\"1\">Dr. YouYang Zhao<\/a><\/u>, professor of pediatrics, medicine and pharmacology. The company is developing next generation transformative technologies for gene and drug delivery targeting vascular endothelium to treat human diseases.
